In order to help international students to adapt to and fit into life in Taiwan, education institutes make every effort to organize various cultural events and cultural exchange activities. The history of folklore events and how to celebrate these festivals are explained, with aim to promote international students to learn about Taiwan culture and customs, and hence speed up their culture exploration and adaptation process through participation in activities.

On March 23rd, 2023, Providence University held the 411 Study Abroad Festival, which attracted students and scholars from around the world to participate in this grand event. The aim of the festival was to provide a platform for college students to exchange and learn from each other's experiences. The event was estimated to have more than 600 participants, including both students and faculty members. |
At the invitation of Hanyang University in South Korea, our principal attended the inauguration ceremony of the 16th President Lee Ki-Jung. Our president Lucia S Lin, was the only representative of overseas academic partners to give a speech. Through this visit, our school will officially sign a cooperation agreement with Hanyang University, opening a collaborative relationship between the two schools. |
English Language Teaching Assistant (ELTA) program funded by the Taiwan Ministry of Education was established in 2021. The ELTA program serves the main island of Taiwan, as well as the off-shore territories, through 3 offices comprising the North, Central and South centers with an aim to strengthening English language instruction and skills among local elementary and junior high school students. Under the teacher’s supervision, the ELTAs work with students to help them improve their oral and written communications skills in English through instructional activities. |
OIA Key Achievements February 6 to February 24
February 2, 2023 to February 10, 2023 The Office of International Affairs hosted a visit from its sister school, Woosong University, South Korea, for a study tour in Taichung. The tour included Mandarin language classes, specialized courses, and experiences of urban and indigenous lifestyles. A total of 19 students and one accompanying teacher participated in the program, which was a great success in promoting friendship between Taiwanese and Korean students and teachers. |
